With the engine and gearbox removed from the engine bay, cleaning will be much easier. Obviously, the engine was leaking around the valve cover, oil pan and timing chain cover. I have purchased new gaskets and they will be replaced before the engine is painted.
The engine was cleaned with liquid degreaser and a pressure washer. However, there are still some areas that must be cleaned by hand.
